Distributed Operating Power Supply

The Distributed Operating Power Supply (DOPS) is a system that decentralizes power units near load devices to provide power for specific areas or equipment. It offers flexible configuration based on local load demands, enhancing power supply reliability and targeting.

Key Characteristics:

Distributed Layout: Reduces energy loss and voltage drop over long transmission lines, improving voltage stability for sensitive equipment.

High Flexibility: Easily scalable or adjustable based on load changes, minimizing the need for major system modifications.

The Distributed Operating Power Supply comprises several key components: Power Modules, which convert input energy into suitable DC or AC power for load devices, including types like switching power supplies and small inverters; Energy Storage Units, such as small battery packs or supercapacitors, that provide backup power during outages; Monitoring & Management Units, responsible for real-time monitoring and smart management of power status and settings; and Connection & Distribution Units, ensuring reliable power distribution to load devices through cables, connectors, and switches.

Working Principle:

During normal operation, power modules convert AC input to stable power for loads while charging energy storage units. During outages, the storage units discharge to maintain power supply, with the monitoring unit overseeing the process.
